The Alena Resort a Pramana Experience

Everything was great! Staff was very attentive, room was great! Food was great. Pool was refreshing, husband and I even did a full body massage before we left.. sensational!! There was a shuttle that took us 4 different times to Ubud

Very friendly and accommodating staff. The resort is really beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay. It was a quiet period so often the spa was empty - it felt like we had our own private hot tub and sauna! I had a massage here too which was very relaxing. I would recommend it to anyone that wants a relaxing stay for a few days in Ubud.

The resort is a short drive (around 18 mins) from central Ubud, which is fine, but just be aware that you will not be within walking distance of other amenities! That being said, it is very easy to get a taxi to/from the centre of Ubud, and the hotel runs a shuttle there too.

Private pool, Food was excellent, staff was awesome and accommodating. Manager was thoughtful, polite, professional. What you would expect at a luxury villa/resort. The staff exemplified the same character. A well-run operation.

Our stay at The Alena Resort has been nothing short of magical.It’s a remote get away! From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with such warmth and genuine kindness that we instantly felt at home. Every interaction—from the front desk to the restaurant to housekeeping—was filled with smiles, attentiveness, and a level of care that made our experience truly special.The rooms are beautifully designed, blending modern comfort with a serene Balinese aesthetic. Modern rain showers, with very high handmade high vaulted thatched ceilings that gave protection from the rain and air conditioning that was very cool and The bed is incredibly comfortable, the linens soft, and the entire space feels peaceful and thoughtfully arranged. We woke up each morning to the sounds of nature, which made every day a retreat.The pool area and the lush surroundings are absolutely stunning. Whether relaxing by the water or enjoying a quiet walk through the garden, the atmosphere is calm, refreshing, and genuinely healing.We also enjoyed wonderful massages and sauna at the spa—deeply relaxing and expertly done. It was one of the highlights of our stay.Breakfast and the restaurant meals were delicious, with fresh ingredients and an endless variety of continental, authentic balinese local cuisine and asian fusion cuisine. The staff remembered our preferences, which made everything feel personal and heartfelt.What truly sets Alena Resort apart is the exceptional hospitality. Any concern we had—no matter how small—was met with alacrity, warmth, and genuine care. The team consistently went above and beyond, offering thoughtful touches and ensuring we were comfortable at every moment.We feel deeply cared for and grateful for the experience.Highly recommended for anyone wanting a peaceful, beautiful, and heartfelt stay in Ubud. We would absolutely return here on our next trip to Ubud.

The staff was incredible, from organising my mother-in-law's birthday as a surprise welcome, completely unexpected, to being incredibly friendly. The wifi was not working in the region, and they offered us 30-minute free massages at the amazing spa. The staff and front office manager were always attentive and responsive to our requests.

A bit far from the centre, however, you can take a grab/ taxi

All the staff at The Alena Resort were so kind and courteous. They all took the time to see how our day was going, what plans we had, if anything needed to be adjusted for our stay or if there's anything extra they could do to help out. The management were so generous as to upgrade our room to the luxury suite which was a lovely surprise. Can't thank Putra for their smile and curiosity about our stay. The resort is gorgeous, well-tended to and has plenty of facilities whether it's the spa, gym or one of the two pools.

This was by far the best vacation I spent with my family and we been to about 50 countries so that’s say a lot about them. Exceptional staff, good food , room services is the best, the resort has everything needed.

The resort is beautiful; lush greenery woven into the design, creating that authentic Bali feel while still feeling modern, intimate, and refined. Even though the property was clearly busy, it somehow remained peaceful and quiet, a sanctuary where we could truly relax.The food was excellent (both the Indonesian dishes and the international options). But what really set The Alena apart was the service. I’ve only ever experienced this level of attention on a luxury cruise. Despite having many guests to look after, the team made us feel like we were the only ones there. So many staff members remembered our names and went out of their way to check in on us. We felt genuinely cared for, in the best possible way.We were celebrating our 10th anniversary and had arranged a few special experiences including a flower pool, a photo shoot, and a romantic candlelight dinner. Everything was arranged perfectly and handled with such warmth and precision. A great example: at the last minute, my wife decided to switch from the set dinner menu, the staff handled it instantly and cheerfully, no fuss at all.It was an unforgettable stay, made special not just by the setting but by people who clearly take pride in making guests feel welcome.

The attention to details of the staff its on another level, they are extremely kind and ready to help you.Food: the breakfast is a la carte, you can choose from a vaste variety of things and all of the are really good (defined worth it). We also has the lunch here and was really good too. (We recommend you to eat here as in Bali the food poisoning is mostly everywhere)Facilities: you have a lot of thing to do starting with gorgeous pools, spa, yoga and many more.Room: big enough with a spacious bathroom, the staff cleans it daily properly.We definitely recommend this accompaniment in Bali and for sure we will come back!

My family and I had a great stay at the resort, fully enjoyed the 1000 candles dinner with Kecak Dance, floating breakfast, the pools! Was lovely!

It’s not about the property but the traffic in Ubud… if you are a family and traveling around with a car, be aware the traffic is just crazy!

The property is gorgeous! You feel like you’re right in the middle of a rainforest with all the best amenities and the best service. The staff is so attentive to every need and so helpful. The price is incredible for what you get. Definitely book one of the villas! Gupti was our driver and tour guide and I can’t say enough good things about him. So friendly and informative as you travel around. It’s rare that I go back to the same place twice but I would go back here in a heartbeat!!!!

We loved everything. It was perfect

The service at the hotel was fantastic. Nothing was an issue and the staff did everything they could to assist. Arrival was great and we were regularly asked if we were enjoying our stay and if they could do anything more for us. We went for a 5hr spa package which I booked 1 week before, which I'm glad I did so we didn't miss out and it was so so relaxing and I felt so spoilt- definitely worth doing!!

There's nothing I could say I didn't like here. I will be back if I am lucky enough to come to Ubud again. It was a great start to my Bali holiday.

Everything was great, really beautiful and romantic hotel, with friendly and helpful personal. Spa was really good and yoga course was excellent ? we were booking floating breakfast ?, was great experience as well ?and we did a lot of nice photos with my partner during the breakfast.I would recommend to book villas with private pools-really nice ?

Wonderfully set into greenery, good choice of pools, staff, including the manager, incredibly attentive and accommodating.

This is a magical resort in a quiet part of Bali. There is a shuttle and plenty of activities and day trips offered by the hotel but you could easily just relax and enjoy the resort itself for the day. The staff are helpful and willing to help day or night, including helping us arrange our 3.30am airport shuttle at 10pm the night before.
